Kiran Ravilious, raised in Singapore, is a pattern designer who uses the old fashioned technique of lino printing to develop her designs for textiles and paper goods.
Established in 2012, her designs have a hint of the tropics to them. Although never strictly botanical, her work is a unique fusion of very different inspirations. From the lush tropical growth of her homeland with the delicate patterns of English nature.
Many museums, galleries and shops across the UK are now stocking and have stocked her incredible designs. For example, Kew Gardens, Fortnum and Mason, Daunt Books, Lutyens & Rubinstein and more.
Also her work has featured in many publications. For example: The Guardian, The Sunday Times, Homes & Antiques, House Beautiful, Period Living and Country Living magazines.
Did you know that Kiran’s husband is the grandson of the famous British artist, Eric Ravilious. Painter, designer, book illustrator and wood-engraver, a talented individual who served as a war artist.
Keith Brymer Jones has carefully curated a wonderful and colourful collection. We are delighted to interpret her beautiful designs to these medium ceramic mug range. Undeniably, an exciting new collaboration which adds a touch of sophistication to your home.
