Keith Brymer Jones created the Word Range 25 years ago. The collection has grown to over 400 products including mugs, bowls, plates, serveware and table accessories. For every piece produced, a word or phrase is debossed and then coloured by hand. Finally, both the glazing and firing produces a super-white, hard wearing, finish. The pieces are perfect for gifts. And we have words and/or phrases to cover almost every occasion.

Keith Brymer Jones has been creating designer tableware for over 30 years. Since 2015 he has shared his potting wisdom and passion on our TV screens. An expert judge on the hit Channel 4 show, The Great Pottery Throw Down. As a result, this has made him a cultural icon and his tears over the contestants executing their tasks brilliantly a must watch. At the start of 2025, Keith crowned the champion of GPTD in its 8th series!

In 2012, Keith released his autobiography titled “A Boy in a China Shop: Life, Clay and Everything”. Keith has had a roller coaster of a journey to where he is now. The book starts with a ball of clay and takes you to places like London, Stoke-on-Trent, Kent, China & Wales. He subsequently went on a joyful book tour around the UK to a sell-out crowd. Twice!

The design stage of each new product and the perfect prototype starts on Keith’s potter’s wheel in his UK studio. The full production then takes place in China. Unquestionably, a country with a deep-rooted history in expert ceramic production. Keith works closely with a team of highly skilled craftsmen to perfect the delicate production process. So they ensure each mug, bowl or jug matches the same style and high quality of his original design. Keith is proud to manufacture his ceramic ranges responsibly in China. In light of this, he has made a fun video to let everyone know here. It is Keith’s dream to bring production home to the UK. Fingers crossed; this dream may not be too far away!
